Get your balance in check - Red Bull Manny Mania is back for its third year of two-wheeled trickery! Started in 2007 as the first-ever pro manual contest, Red Bull Manny Mania swept the nation, flipping in and flipping out across the country and landing in the stacked final in New York City. Past winners of Red Bull Manny Mania include event brainchild Joey Brezinski and legend Ronnie Creager. In 2009, skaters from all corners of the U.S. will get their chance to show off their best manual combos with the Red Bull Manny Mania AM Series, which hits 15 stops all summer long. It all kicks off on June 7th with the Pro final in the city that never sleeps, but always shreds - see you in New York!

The third year of Red Bull Manny Mania kicks off with a bang, descending upon the streets of New York City June 7, 2009. With 5boro's legendary Back to the Banks contest and Red Bull Manny Mania taking place Saturday and Sunday, respectively, video premieres, parties and the gathering of skaters from around the country will certainly make Manhattan the place to be.

Why New York?

With three years under our Manny Mania belt, why change if it's not broken? Last year's Manny Mania featured some of the best professional skateboarders you wouldn't normally see at a skateboarding contest. With professionals such as: Stevie Williams, Jason Dill, Brandon Beibel, Chico Brenes, Kenny Anderson, Dennis Busenitz, Kelly Hart, Malcom Watson, Eric Koston, Danny Falla, Eli Reed, Jereme Rogers, Jack Curtin, Tim O'Conner, Rodrigo Peterson, Rob Welsh, Jon Newport, Brian Wenning, Lenny Rivas, Bobby Worrest, Stefan Janoski and Richard Angelides plus returning two-time champion, Joey Brezinski.

Rules: An invite-only contest where 16 pros compete in four-man heats in a jam format. Each skater is given a score reflecting their performance in the entire jam. The top five scores from the entire field will move on to the finals. Then, finals will be the top five skaters in one epic 20 minute jam where they will battle it out until the Manny master is crowned.
Why Manuals? One of the most difficult tricks, a manual requires balance, skill and creativity. With guidelines and manual pads, riders take to the course to see just what two-wheeled trickery can get thrown down. Oh yeah, Joey's dog is named "Manny" too!
